Think Like A Podcast Advertiser: What You Need To Know

Think Like A Podcast Advertiser: What You Need To Know

BIPOC Podcast Creators and Libsyn, one of the leading podcast hosting platforms, have come together to host a dynamic and multicultural community of podcast creators and industry experts to help you navigate the path to podcast advertising.

Who’s This For?
If you’re an independent podcaster with a dedicated audience, you’re already making an impact. But how can you take that next step when it comes to working with advertisers—especially if you’re not operating at the scale of the big networks? This session is for those who want to understand how to navigate podcast advertising, no matter where they are in their journey.

What We’ll Talk About:
We’re bringing together different perspectives on podcast advertising—both from those who’ve built their own success as independents and those who’ve worked with agencies. You’ll learn what’s truly essential to make your podcast more attractive to potential advertisers, and how you can position yourself for success even if you’re not ready for a podcasting agency.

We’ll be exploring:

• The different stages of podcasting growth, from micro shows to larger-scale productions. What remains constant, and where does your focus need to shift as you grow?
• What you need to understand about podcast advertising—beyond the basics. It’s not just about having great content; there’s more behind the scenes that can elevate your opportunities.
• How to find and approach advertisers, and how your passion for your content can translate into long-term partnerships with the brands you love.
• Preparing your podcast for success in ad campaigns—what are the key factors you should consider before you even begin working with advertisers?

Why This Matters:
This isn’t just about selling ads. It’s about building a strong foundation for your podcast that aligns with your values and your community. We’ll guide you through the high-level thinking needed to move forward, whether you’re just starting out or further along in your journey.

How We’ll Wrap Up:
There will be time for an open Q&A session at the end, so you can ask anything that comes to mind as you think about advertising for your show.
